Isabella is Five

Isabella is Five

It is that time of the year again my girl turned 5! She was counting the days till her birthday and was very excited for her celebration. This year everything looked different, thanks to COVID-19, but it was as special as always and we celebrated the joy of having her with us.

We had a small but super fun celebration on her actual birthday, January 18th.  Jerry and I spent all day with her, making slime and playing with her new toys. We decorated the house with unicorns and ate a delicious strawberry cake. At the end of the day she said it was the best birthday ever. Our hearts were happy. A couple of weeks later we did another birthday celebration at the house and invited her 3 closest friends, her siblings and her Titi & Tata. We are used to celebrate with all our family and friends and it was hard not to be with them this year, but COVID has changed a lot of plans. Again our girl had a blast and the theme was the same Unicorns, she is at that stage.

Over the last year we had seen a lot of changes in Isabella, physically and emotionally, she is more like a big girl now, super smart, kind and sweet. She has adapted so well to all the challenges of the past year, always having such a positive attitude and stayed her cheerful self. Isabella started a new school last year, she loves it and has learned so many new things. It is such a privilege to watch her grow, change, transform and for that Jerry and I are so grateful.

To continue the tradition we did the birthday interview. Do you remember last years one? If not you can see it here. So with no further ado, let’s see those answers and get to know Isabella a little more.

I don’t even remember me being mad.

Even though I’m  a terrible singer, I’ve been singing to Isabella since I knew I was pregnant with her. One song I always sing is Verde Luz, and has become her lullaby song and one song that to this day she asked me to sing almost every night.

Q: Where do you wish you could go on vacation?

A: Puerto Rico, because  I miss Wely.

Comments: So Wely is her grandmother, my mother and we haven’t seen her in over a year. A brutal consequence that  COVID has us facing. She loves her Wely and talks about her all the time.
