Coffee Tasting With I Say It With Cafe

Coffee Tasting With I Say It With Cafe

My love for coffee started very early on in my childhood. I remember even having it as part of a bed time snack. Maybe that’s why I can have coffee any time of the day and it does not affect my sleep.

I love to savor different styles of coffees and when I travel I always look for the way locals drink their coffee so I can try it. In the search of new coffee flavors I found “ I Say It With Café”

I Say it With Cafe is a small business that sells coffee from the Caribbean and Latin America. You can also find on  their website coffee themed gifts and novelties.  This product variety makes I Say It With Café a great shopping place for coffee lovers, like me.

I received my first box of I Say It With Cafe perfectly packed, and as soon as I opened the box, I smelled the most amazing coffee aroma.  In my box I got coffee from Brazil, Guatemala and Puerto Rico. Along with some interesting index cards describing each coffee in the box. I was excited to try these two new flavors of coffee (Brazil & Guatemala) and my all-time favorite the Puerto Rican , but I was not the only one. Isabella was very vocal saying that she wanted to try all the coffees that came in the box as well, so we did.

We started our tasting with the Brazilian coffee, a medium nutty, 100% Arabic. When I asked Isabella how was it, she said “Mami it taste different. It taste a little bit like chocolate”. My baby girl was right on point, because  the Brazilian coffee flavor notes are primarily chocolatey and nutty, and can range from milk chocolate to bitter cocoa  and toasted almond. While Isabella picked up the chocolate flavor I sensed the nutty ones. All my life I’ve heard about the amazing coffee that Brazil produces, actually Brazil is the world’s leading exporter of coffee beans, according to the cards I received in the package. My first experience with Brazilian coffee was without a doubt memorable, this coffee has so many flavor tones is complex yet smooth and we enjoyed it a lot.

Next was the aromatic coffee from Guatemala a medium pleasant, 100% Arabic one. And when I say aromatic I mean it! While I was brewing the coffee, Isabella asked to see the package, she opened it and smelled it with her eyes closed, she said “Oh Mami, I love the smell of this coffee, can’t wait to try it”. This coffee was smooth and simple yet flavorful. I think this coffee will be perfect for people that don’t like strong coffees because it has a very balance acidity, tasting very fresh and natural. It is perfect too with a pastry, bread or dessert. Isabella and I enjoyed very much our first experience with Guatemalan coffee,  and we will make sure to keep on trying their countrie’s coffees.

Last but definitely not least we tried the Puerto Rican coffee that came in the box. I have been  drinking coffee from my beautiful Island almost all my life and this one didn’t disappoint me. I could recognized the smell and some of the flavors. This blend was so good that I will for sure order it again. With a medium dark blend and 100% Arabic, this coffee is a true representation of the Puerto Rican coffee flavor. I loved that it was strong but not overpowering, flavorful and simple. The kind of coffee you can have any time of the day and for sure my go to in the mornings.

This truly was a great coffee tasting and with the best company, my daughter.
