Hola and Welcome!
My name is Yani Vázquez-Cruz and I try to enjoy motherhood, family and life as much as I can. I have created this space with the intention of sharing our life with all of you, as well as parenting, traveling and food tips. I have a full time job outside the house and I am a full time Mami (Mom). I love outdoors, traveling, food, scrapbooking, baking, reading and event planning.
I am a proud Puerto Rican, born and raised in the Island. Seven years ago I moved to Kansas City betting everything on love. Jerry who is now my husband was the one who convinced me to move here. With him and our daughter Isabella Faith we have made Kansas City our home. We love creating memories and treasure every moment that we have with our family and friends.
If you like to travel, to eat, to venture, to explore, if you are a parent, if you live far from your country or hometown, this blog is for you. Here we will share a little of what we love, our life as a family and the adventures of being a family composed of two completely different cultures. You will laugh with our madness, you will see how we try to raise Isabella by loving two different places and we hope that our stories will inspire you or help you if you are experiencing a similar situation. We will share our love for travel and show you how it is possible to travel with children anywhere in the world. We will share our favorite food recipes, our traditions and adventures. This blog is an honest representation of our journey in life, the things we like to do, the people who we love the most and the memories we create with them. We are still learning, but love to share things as we discover them. So feel free to share your experiences with us as well.
I dedicated this blog to my daughter Isabella Faith Nail-Vázquez who inspired me to create this space and to my father, José A. Vázquez Cruz who even when he is not physically with us anymore, his memory inspired and guided me to make this blog a reality.
